Chaos, Lawlessness and the Gospel |
|
As I write this month’s article, today’s news headlines begin with misconduct complaints against the Minneapolis police chief, a tragic father-son murder-suicide, a Minneapolis registered sex offender sentenced to 27 years in prison for producing child pornography, food shelters ruined financially and closing, and miserable human beings continuing to harass members of Cities Church in St. Paul as they enter their church to worship.
That’s just a few of the headlines at the local level. (By the way, whatever happened to news about the fraud in Minnesota? But here I digress.)
Nationally, the focus is on the war with Iran, college campus violence, the rising cost of oil and its effects at the gas pump, SCOTUS reviewing Birthright Citizenship (who in their right mind would think our founding fathers or the originators of the 14th Amendment would consider the children of illegals as American citizens?) and the success of the Artemis II launch carrying four brave men and women to orbit the moon in a capsule named “Orion.” Oh, and let us not neglect to bring to attention the demonic ravings of James Carville, the vulgar, hate-spewing, bloviating king of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) whose moments in the news make for not much more than late night horror-comedy.
These are but a few of the signs of the times reflecting a world in chaos, lawlessness, moral corruption, and confusion.
These are but a few of the signs of a world living without God.
To be clear, it’s not as if God isn’t here in our midst. It’s not as if He is not in charge of our ultimate destiny. It’s a reminder that in the time between the already present kingdom of God in this world and its final consummation at some point in the future – near or distant – we humans are in control of how we live on earth. In our grasp for control, we neglect the God in our midst.
Living without God has major consequences.
For nations. For individuals.
And then there is living with false gods.
Living with false Gods, (that would be anyone denying, rejecting and replacing the Lordship of Jesus Christ with anything else), well that takes the depravity even deeper and makes the consequences that much more devastating.
This is Holy Week. It is the week of the Passion of our world’s Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. On Friday, Good Friday, we will both mourn and celebrate the sufferings and death of Jesus. We mourn His illegal trials, beatings, scourging, and crucifixion. We celebrate His victory on the cross on our behalf over sin, death, chaos, lawlessness, depravity, and confusion with three little words . . . “It is finished.”
We celebrate an empty tomb.
Jesus lived. Jesus died. Jesus was buried. Jesus was resurrected. Jesus ascended to heaven and Jesus will return.
While we wait, while we engage in the business of His kingdom priorities here on earth, He offers to all a life of true freedom, peace, love, joy, and happiness in a world gone wrong.
If you know Christ, you are free. If you know Christ, you are a conveyor of freedom to others. If you know Christ, you are a warrior against the darkness.
Know Christ - Know Freedom - Live as a Warrior!
If you do not know Jesus personally, or you are just not sure of your relationship to God through Jesus, contact us at RestoreMN.org. Knowing and developing a personal relationship with Jesus is the #1 priority of all of our lives.
Now is the time to resist the god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4) and welcome the King of Glory, the Lord Jesus Christ.
He is risen. He is risen indeed!!
That is a headline worth shouting!
God bless you and yours this Resurrection season -
Dale

"Excellent!" - "Every Christian MUST hear about this!"
He will be at Word of Life in Princeton on Monday evening, April 6. Fill up your car with friends, neighbors, family, invite your church ... because this is about a very real threat and must be exposed.

Church in the Capitol
Saturday, April 11
These praise and worship times have been very meaningful. Since God inhabits the praises of His people, how important it is to bring the presence of God into the heart of our Minnesota government.
All are invited! |

God and Government
by Sara Bertschinger, Restore MN Staff
“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.”
2 Corinthians 5:20
Those in Christ are called to be witnesses, ambassadors, salt and light. Our mission field? Every aspect of culture; government being one of them. The question every person needs to ask is, “Who’s worldview do you want to promote?” In America every citizen has the opportunity and responsibility to advocate for guiding principles to make law. If Christians stay out of this process then we are relinquishing our voice. We are abdicating our Biblical Citizenship. Local, county, state, and federal government offices and positions are a mission field. We need more people to stand firm on principles and promote a biblical worldview across cultural and rulemaking influences.
What can you do?
-
Pray for the Lord to raise up Men and Women of Faith to hold influential positions.
-
Pray for and encourage Christians already in these positions to stay strong and true.
-
Encourage others to step up.
-
Connect with leaders and let your voice be heard on important issues.
MN Legislative Update
This year the democrats have control of the MN Senate, Governor and Constitutional officers, and the MN House remains split 50/50. This means both parties have to work together to get legislation passed. This could have been an opportunity to put partisanship aside and focus on what is best for Minnesotans. Unfortunately, each party has an ever increasingly different viewpoint of what is in the best interest for Minnesota. The following is a list of priorities set forth by the political parties this year.
|
 |
|
Christians in Civics
As Christians we promote God, Family, Country, in that order. We hear all the time to stay away from partisanship. I agree. As we consider our Biblical Citizenship, we are Christians first. That forms the basis of our American citizenship built upon civil and moral foundations. John Quincy Adams once said:
"The Law given from Sinai (the Ten Commandments) was a civil and municipal as well as a moral and religious code."
Still, we need to look at the fruits of partisan actions. What are the parties producing? Promoting? Legislating? Is there an opportunity to reform and renew the group? At what point are we throwing our time and energy away? Unfortunately, as it currently stands in Minnesota, the Republican Party is the only major party that is sympathetic to Christian values. Ideally, each legislator will vote according to their platform and district interests. In reality, we have seen time and again where the democrats will vote as a block.
As we enter into an election year please encourage your friends and family to think critically and look at the big picture. Do we want a repeat of 2023 where far-left woke agenda was shoved through with little to no regard to proper process? Or do we want to start repelling the worst of the worst and start putting in protections for families, our economy, and liberty. This upcoming election is pivotal.
Taking a Stand
First a huge shout out to all on this e-mail distribution list. You are a part of some of the most engaged and informed individuals. Keep up your hard work and perseverance! Thank you for All you are doing! So many in MN and around the USA want to do something, just don't know where to start. So please share this e-mail with 5 friends and let's get the wheels turning! No one can do everything. But we all can do something! So what one thing is God calling you to take on this week?
Be Informed!
Here are some great resources for information on current legislative activity in MN:
Get Involved

|
Let Your Voice Be Heard
-
Be willing to speak to legislation
-
While in committee: Email the committee administrator and submit a written statement or sign up to give live testimony either in person or via zoom.
-
Email the legislative members of the committee or call up to their office to leave a short 2-5 sentence message
-
Show up! Make a sign and stand in the hall way as the legislators enter the committee room
-
When the bill is on the floor of the Senate or house:
-
Reach out to your legislators, the leadership of each party and find friends in swing districts to reach out to their legislators.
-
Show up! Bring a friend and stand outside the chamber doors with a sign. Find the note station and write a brief note the pages will bring to the person you indicate.
-
Remember to thank and encourage those who are standing strong to continue in their pursuit of the truth
-
Share on social media: Like, comment, share out the posts. Or make your own post!
-
Be creative! How can You help get the message out?
* The above ideas can be replicated to fit local governance for County, City, and School boards.
King of Kings and Lord of Lords
I find it interesting that the recent “no kings protest” was set for Palm Sunday Weekend; the day Christians all over the world celebrate Jesus as King. It is clear. The planners of “no kings” are returning to the age-old temptation to set up “self” as supreme and reject the Lordship of Christ. It is God who saves! Jesus is the Name above all names who rules heaven and earth! Thankfully a few groups are doing something to counteract this rejection of Christ as authority. A group in Fergus Falls MN set up along main street to hold Signs on Palm Sunday proclaiming “Hosannah Jesus is King!.” Matt Benda and his Freeborn County Restore Minnesota Community Action Team held their 3rd “No King but Jesus” prayer rally at the seat of their local government. Each gathering has grown in number and attention.
Pray for more workers to enter the harvest field. Prayer for people of conviction and truth to make the time and have the Courage to Stand!
"Thank you to everyone who answered the call for Community Prayer, Revival, and Patriotism on March 26, 2026. The theme of this event was “I am a Christian, I am an American, I am Proud.”
Today, we again call on faith and community leaders to proclaim these same truths. Let us stand as proud Christians and proud Americans. May our words echo throughout the community and inspire others to do the same." - Matt Benda |

These courses have incredible, historical content usually related to foundational Biblical principles. It would be hard to NOT learn something as you go through any one of these courses. I, personally, have watched the Biblical Citizenship class three times, and I got the most out of the third time through.
We so appreciate that the Patriot Academy founder, Rick Green, was willing to partner with Restore Minnesota as we work together to bring education and awareness that will help restore righteousness in our state and our nation.
Sign up today! You'll be glad you did! |
