The Calm Before the Storm
What happened to April?
Without going into great detail, suffice it to say that for several key people involved in Restore Minnesota, April was a month of significant health challenges. We remain thankful for the promises of Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 2:24 that by His (Jesus’) stripes, we were and are healed. Sometimes great faith and patience is required as we wait for full healing to manifest.
One of our major discoveries during a very challenging April wasn’t really a discovery as much as it was another confirmation that those involved in Restore Minnesota CATs (Community Action Teams) are among the finest people God placed on the planet. Sue and I, along with the rest of the Restore MN staff, want to pass along our most sincere thanks to the many of you who continued leading in your communities and around the state. You continued to fulfill your God-given callings as we partnered with the Lord in fighting to restore righteousness in Minnesota and beyond. Your commitments and faithfulness to Him are an incredible inspiration to all of us involved in the fight. We are extremely grateful for you.
I’m sure you are familiar with the phrase “the calm before the storm.” To be sure, the storm is coming. Here are some items contributing to the coming storm you’ll want to be aware of and get on your calendars:
- May 9: Our dear friend, Pastor Shahram Hadian, will be in the Twin Cities May 9-11. On Friday, May 9, he will be at Word of Life Ministries in Princeton from 7-9pm. He will also be the guest preacher there on Sunday, May 11. (See flyer below)
- May 10: Our second “Church At The Capitol” will take place in the Capitol Rotunda beginning at 10:45. About 50 people were blessed to participate in our inaugural event back in February. Join us if you can this Saturday. (See flyer below)
- May 12: Shahram Hadian will wrap up his current trip by presenting at Dan Hall Ministries’ CPR (Christians Discussing Religion and Politics). The location is Sunnyside Free Lutheran Church, 22745 Typo Creek Dr NE, Linwood, MN. Start time is 6:30pm.
- On Saturday, May 17, our friend Rick Green from Patriot Academy, will be doing a Constitution training at the Holiday Inn Express in Detroit Lakes. For details, contact Carol Hexum at 218-849-2393.
- On Sunday, May 18, our dear friend Pastor Greg Pagh ends his 34 year run as Senior Pastor at Christ Church Otsego. He will continue leading Bless Minnesota, as well as serving on the Kingdom Alignment leadership team. If you are in the area, we encourage you to visit Christ Church on this momentous day.
- From May 20-24, I will be in Dallas at a Rise Up Kings event (RUKministries.com). Pray for the expansion possibilities of Restore Minnesota in collaboration with RUK.
- From May 27-31, we will be hosting international ministers Bill and Faye Byers, which includes:
- a special ministry event, Civic Leaders Retreat, for any elected official in Minnesota and his/her spouse on Friday, May 30, at Land of Promise Church in Buffalo, MN. (See flyer and additional comments below)
- In June, we currently have booked two “Courageous Christianity” weekend events. On June 13-15, we’ll be at Bridgeview Assembly of God Church in Big Lake, MN. On June 27-29, we’ll be at Adoration Church in La Crosse, WI. Watch for details! Attend if you can. Send others. Plan a Courageous Christianity event at your church or in your community.
As I mentioned above, this is the calm before the storm. The storm is coming. When partnered with the Holy Spirit, we are the storm.
Stand firm. Strike hard. The power and love of Jesus prevails.

Jericho Prayer March - Breaking the Chains and Reclaiming the Capitol! - Held on April 26

With session wrapping up for the year, the recent satanic displays at the capitol and the general decline in social morality, Restore MN is thankful to work with amazing leaders and set aside a time for Prayer, Praise, and Action!
Believers gathered at the steps of the Capitol to intercede for MN, her leaders, people, and for the fire of revival to sweep this state and nation. If we want political renewal, we need a spiritual revival! Prayer warriors met together in small groups on the Capitol steps while more walked around the seat of government 7 times.
What an uplifting time of prayer and praise! So wonderful to be surrounded by so many dedicated prayer warriors and listening to the Shofar sound. Thank you to all who jumped in and took part!
A special Thank You to Senator Eric Lucero, Adam Dommeyer (TPUSA-Faith) and Grant Adamsheck (musician) for leading us through the event! What a blessing to have an opportunity to listen to these godly men who boldly proclaim truth!

Babies Survive Abortion! I've Met One!
Robin survived the unthinkable; in what was supposed to be the safety of her mother's womb, abortionists tried to burn her out with 3 different saline abortion attempts. The Lord saved her life and she now travels the world equipping other survivors to be a voice and share their stories.

“Same Purpose Just Different Role”
That’s what God spoke to me on May 31, 2024

It was the day my succession plan became a reality. After pastoring for over 4 decades (pastorates in ND, MN, WI, OK, VT, FL and now back in MN) I turned the senior leadership role of senior pastorate of The Harbor Church in Spicer, MN to my spiritual son, Jeremy Bulthuis. I turned in my keys, said my goodbyes and drove home rejoicing! I tell people, “after 40+ years of pastoring, God finally let me out on good behavior!”
NEXT assignment – start a Marketplace Ministry in La Crosse WI (Coulee Region) and let it grow into other cities in the Upper Midwest. “But Lord, I want to retire, I’m 67!” The Lord said, “same purpose, just different role.” So, my wife, Brenda, and I moved to La Crescent MN on June 26th 2024 and began building from the ground up a networking/ partnership/ community of businessmen and women who see their Marketplace assignment, calling, and anointing from God.
The uniqueness about this next assignment was that it was not new. I have been doing Kingdom Marketplace Empowerment Seminars since 2008 when I became a life coach but now I get to do it in my season of convergence, where I take 40+ years of preaching sermons to businessmen and women sitting in the pews of the churches I pastored and now empower and equip them in their Marketplace assignments to solve problems in their community because when you solve a problem for your company/business, employer, government, city - you are actually influencing your culture with the culture of the Kingdom of God!
What an honor it is to partner with Dale Witherington and Restore MN next month, June 27th where Dale will be speaking at Kingdom Marketplace Empowerment for a noon luncheon. I am also excited about working with the Winona Area Southeast MN Patriots and the possibility of starting a Community Action Team in Houston County.

Church at the Capitol
Christians from across the state will gather at the Minnesota State Capitol to worship and pray this Saturday, May 10.
We have two more Saturdays scheduled for later in 2025, August 2 and November 22. Details will be provided as each date approaches.

1. Take the Leap! Start a Group!
- “No one can do everything but everyone can do something.”
- Find 1 person like you and start a group. Something is better than nothing. We dig through a mountain by persistently chipping away at the rock.
- Choose a Name.
- Commit to following the Restore MN Mission Statement and the Five Pillars for developing a Community Action Team.
- Pick a routine and meet regularly in person if possible, to encourage, share, problem solve and motivate. Having a routine meeting also can help facilitate welcoming new participants.
- Reach out and build your crew.

The Purpose and Mission of Restore Minnesota is to restore righteousness to our state. The strategy to do that is through developing Community Action Teams (CATs) in all of the 87 counties. We currently have 13 active Community Action Teams serving 15 different counties.
