A Disconcerting Interaction |
|
I recently had a brief interaction with a pastor that has left me greatly concerned about the state of local churches who share a similar mindset to his. The gist of the conversation revolved around the idea of the role of the church in the culture. His position is that Jesus never instructed the church to change the culture. Jesus instructed the church to save lost people.
He is half right.
What is the purpose of salvation? Is it solely so that when people die they get to go to heaven?
NO!
What about Jesus’ instructions about being salt and light? What about the command to make disciples of the nations?
The gospel of Jesus Christ and the history of the church in the world is the story of a salvation that leads to the cultural transformation of families, communities, states, and nations. The gospel requires Holy Spirit-led engagement. Holy Spirit-led engagement transforms lives that transforms lives. When that happens, cultures change.
Jesus is in the business of reforming cultures to transform the world and establish the culture of the kingdom of heaven here on earth. It is the mandate He gave to His Ekklesia, His legislating governmental body.
Jesus taught His followers to be cultural change agents. If that resonates with you, join us at Restore Minnesota. If you’re not in Minnesota, let’s restore where you are.
We are called to partner with the Lord and restore righteousness. Restored righteousness reforms and transforms culture. God knows we need it.

Are you ready for Caucus?

Caucus is the beginning of the grassroots system Minnesota uses to determine who will be on November's ballot. You gather in your local area with like minded individuals and vote on delegates to represent your area. Shortly after the Caucus, the endorsing conventions start. First for your local State legislators and then moving up to the Federal and State level candidates. The Caucus and Convention system empowers you as a delegate to do your research, vet the candidates, and determine who will best fit the district come the general election in November.

We all see what is going on in our State and locality. Put your frustration into action! Go to caucus and get plugged in.
Meet with like minded individuals and start finding ways to be Informed! Engaged! And then take a Stand for Truth, Justice, and the American way!

Capitol Christmas Displays
Thank you to All who made the various displays at the MN State Capitol a reality. Last year we discovered the option of putting up a prolonged display on the capitol grounds. This was discovered when a satanic group put up a display at Christmas and then again at Easter. But what they intended for discord God turned for Good!
Last Christmas, hundreds gathered to pray and sing carols around a manger scene as they turned their backs on the unholy display. At Easter, three different Christ-centered displays went up around the capitol grounds. And now, this Christmas, three Christian groups, ourselves included (Restore MN), took part to ensure there was a Christ-centered Christmas display at the capitol from Nov. 30 through Jan. 10th.
America has a long history of Free Speech and Religious Freedom. With that Freedom comes our responsibility to use it! Fill the public square with Conservative and Christian voices or cede the space to secular humanism. The choice is ours.
The Lord is working in the hearts of MN. We are ripe for Revival and Renewal. The Lord will enact His purpose. Will the body of believers be a part of His movement? The choice is yours, mine, ours.

Restore Minnesota Community Action Teams |

The Purpose and Mission of Restore Minnesota is to restore righteousness to our state. The strategy to do that is through developing Community Action Teams (CATs) in all of the 87 counties. We currently have 12 active Community Action Teams that impact their own county and other surrounding communities.
